If you have anything Hitachi 18v get this saw its got balls for what it is. The built in light is super handy. I was using it on the weekend to rip 19mm hard wood decking, just magic. Light and lasts a lot longer than I thought it would on a 3amp battery. Great purchase

this is a great product. comfortable to hold and operate. would like to be able to buy a case, but all requests from both hatachi and reconditioned sales have gone unanswered.

Have used it about 20 hours with no problem. Rate it so far 4/5. However not happy that the original saw bought a year ago only lasted 9 months. The nearest repair shop had just closed down so I decided to go after a reconditioned saw for about the same total cost.

My experience with the 6.5 inch saw was very positive. It easily cut through 2x6 material & was light enough to make cutting from ladders easy. A big plus for me is the fact that the blade is on the left side of the saw making it my 1st "left hand" saw. The only non-positive aspect of the saw I found is the general lack of choice for 6.5 inch blades in the general market.
