For a simple 1.5 amp 18 volt, this unit has some juice. For as light as it is ... surprising powerful. Drives through brick, concrete slab, block, whatever I've attempted with it. Obviously, it ain't a roto-hammer, but for what it is ... pretty decent.
First unit that was sent, the clutch would not adjust. One email later a pre-paid shipping label was emailed (a link for it). And, the second unit was sent immediately
On the second unit ... almost Grade A quality (remember, "almost").
After being sent the second unit, one battery wouldn't take a charge. Again, one email and another battery (seemed to look new ... as in unused new) arrived before I knew it.
I've purchased many items from Big Sky, however, they've always been Grade A. And, I've always been quite satisfied.
First foray into Grade C ... one thing ... even if sent an unsuitable unit, they make it good ... and make it good QUICKLY!
Absolutely superb customer service / customer policy(s).

Awesome drill, after 2 months of laying in box, battery still has some charge in it. Has enough power to drive 1/2" hole in 12" thick wooden wall. Looks a bit worn, but hey, I paid less than 1/5 of its retail price. Best bang for my bucks, ever.

The drill, battery and charger all work great. No issue with the performance it is great. This is the first time I ordered a C grade tool. It looked a little worse that I thought it would.All my other purchases have been A grade. But it works great and I was very happy with the price.

I love your Grade C reconditioned tools! They're like brand new at a fraction of the retail price. My power tool collection is getting greener all the time with all the Hitachi tools I've bought from you and I use most of them every day in my work as a handyman. Now if only you had a Grade C reconditionerd jointer/planer...

Functionally, like new; cosmetically, like a big dog's chew toy ... as Big Sky Tool adequately describes.
Am using multiple drills set up with different bits for drilling countersunk holes, attaching flooring and paneling with flat head screws, and drilling tapered plugs from excess stock (the plug-cutter's made for hand-held drill). Grade C pricing makes this less of an indulgence for homeowners, and project moves much faster.

When I received the drill the chuck was opened so far and so tight that I had to get 2 pair of slip-joint pliers to get it to close. Once I got the chuck to function, the drill works like a dream. I now have 2 drills and a circular saw with 4 batteries and 2 chargers. Nothing can stop me now. Love your products.

The Product was in the condition I expected for a refurbished unit. I love the product. So much lighter and easier to use them my other hammer drills. And having two batteries is also nice. The flashlight comes in really handy when you are working under a dark cabinet trying to fix a leaky sink. One concern is the keyless chuck, it does not thighten with a twist like my regular Hitachi drill, it just keeps spinning and on occasion the drill bit starts slipping. But I do like Hitachi tools.
