I've had this router for a month now and used it a couple of times. It works well, one only had an issue with the bits getting stuck and have to pry them out, so make sure to use some grease. It also didn't fit into a craftsman router table I purchased so I had to return it (the table.) All in all I would say it was a great value, I would have sworn it was brand new.

Very nice and very quiet. Variable speed works perfect and plenty of power. only issue is the vertical adjustment that requires you to spin the router in the base. Spinning the adjustment ring would be better as the cord position would not change with the adjustment. Overall I am a very happy router owner.

Arrived ahead of scheduled date. Looks like new. Runs great and very quietly. Variable speed is a plus when working with hardwoods...no more burning because of high cutter speed. In general, I couldn't be happier!!

The router came on time and so far works like new. Great price on a great router.

Product works great. Had a fair amout or handling wear and tear, but works fine. Only issue I had was the fact it was wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap, and thrown into a box that was large enough to fit 4 routers. The box was totally destroyed by the time I got it, and I was certain the contents were destroyed too. It's a good thing Hitachi has over built this product because it has passed the "BigSky shipping test". For the cost difference, I will purchase "New" next time around. Atleast the factory packaging gives it more chances of surviving the shipping gauntlet.

The Hitachi M12VC was used in my new CnC from Thomas Carr Co. It has all the features needed for use in a wood shop CnC. I am impressed by the power and speed control, and the bit change capabilities are nothing to sneeze at either. Wonderful price on a Great all round router.

Great product. Very quiet at lowest speed and adjusts easily. Fits my router table just fine and is strong enough for the 1/2" bits I use. Great addition to the shop and the price can't be beat.

Quick shipping and router when received looked like new. I like the fact that it is much quieter than my previous router. Also the way it "winds" up to speed when you start it so there is no immediate twist of the router on start up. The variable speed seems to work OK although I don't use it much. All in all I'm very satisfied

So far so good - the unit came with all the parts, including the removal base plate, screws, collets and bit wrench. The machine works fine so far and shows no major flaws. I'm very happy with this.

For the price I paid I would have tp rate it excellent, showed a little sign of use but works great, hold bits tight and true, realtively quiet and the soft start is so much better and easier to control!

So far, so good. I was however, expecting a carrying case, or a tool bag to keep & transport it in, (did the previous owner keep it?) not just a semi-sqashed cardboard box. Back to the tool itself, it seems very solid & well constructed. Loads of power. I have it mounted under a Kreg portable table at this time. I would love to have a lifter to make bit changes & adjustments easier. A spindle lock would be a good feature, but for 73 bucks, I can't really complain, can I?

Excellent and did not look like it had been used much if at all. Consider providing a cheap bag to carry it in.

The router is like brand new. I can't see any dings, scrapes, or blemishes. It runs very quietly and smoothly. I was hesitant about buying a refurbished piece of hardware, but the price won me over. Now that I have it I'm really glad I didn't spend the extra money on a from-the-factory-new one. Shipping was fast and as a new customer I got four magazine subscriptions for free. I'll definitely buy from Big Sky Tool again.

Seemed new. Was a little bulky but ok overall

have olny used it once so far and was satisfactory,will be using it much more in the following weeks and get a better gaudge on router.

Excellent Router.1/4 to 1/2 is a huge help.I Love my power tools and you cannot beat the Hitachi products.They are strong and dependable.

I bought this router so I could have a dedicated router for dovetailing. I wanted one that was easy to handle and that I could put the dovetail bit in and leave it once I got it adjusted. I have 5 other routers, fixed, plunge and D handled. I really like this Hitachi router a lot for this purpose because it has a soft start feature. It came with only a 1/4 inch collet, so that means it won't handle any of my 1/2 shank bits. That's OK since my drawer jig uses 1/4 shank bits. The fact that this router has soft start makes turning it on and off a lot easier and less stressful as you work through many drawer sides. I'm delighted with the size, weight and handling. The handles are round, so the ergonomics are just OK, and since they are at the bottom of the router, the router tends to be a little top heavy, but that's typical of fixed base routers. Overall, a good deal

Lots of power, and variable, in a price range about half of what I would expect. It has a clear base which helps in seeing the cut line, and a really smooth motor. Hitachi again has mass produced a fine power tool without the high cost associated with the others.

Sturdy router, it has been used in a router table and has performed well. I have not put many minutes on the machine so i can't say much about long term durability. The 1/2" collet works well. I saw some reviews about problems with the collets in Hitachi routers, regarding bit slippage. I have had no such problems.

I've used this router a lot as a mounted spindle on a home-built CNC machine, and it's fantastic. Quiet, powerful and reliable. I bought two, but so far have only needed one after a year of use.
