I have bought several drills and sanders from you in the past to use in my furniture company production shop. I really like your product. However the latest two sanders I got had hook and loop pads that were so worn out they do not hold paper at all. I just put the sanders aside for the time being. I was a bit surprised that they were not the same as sanders I had previously bought in the same reconditioned shape.

I'm a trim carpenter and do other fine wood working. I use this sander quite often and it does a great job and the apperance is like factory new. The only issue I have with it is the dust collector falls off occasionally.

This sander has the typical high quality and reliability of all Hitachi products. BUT the hook and loop system is not my favorite. I would prefer the peel and stick sanding pads. I had more reliability with peel and stick. The problem with any brand of hook and loop is that the sanding paper disk will come off and before you can stop the sander you have accidentally been sanding with the hook pad. This will ruin the hook pad so that you can no longer keep the sanding disks on the pad. Peel and stick works better. But this is a factor of all hook and loop sanders not just Hitachi.

Shipped quickly and worked great. After using this thing once it will be filthy and not look new any more anyway so why pay full price?? I love buying reconditioned from Big Sky.
